No More Secrets
Founded in 2012, No More Secrets, Mind Body Spirit Inc. is a grassroots, sexuality awareness and consultative organization.
Their focus is to reduce high risk behaviors in vulnerable populations through the development and implementation of sustainable programming and policies.
The founders of NMS, Lynette (she/her) and her daughter Nya (she/her), are doing incredible work. Between period poverty education and creating a safe space for menstruators to come learn and collect products they need – The Spot is the heart and soul of their community.
As you may have seen on socials, we recently visited Germantown in Philly to personally hand deliver period care to two of the local K-12 schools that we support.
Our current goal for the end of this year (2022) is to fund the distribution of 2,000 MENSTRUAL PADS to people in need of accessible period care in Philadelphia via No More Secrets.
The Surfrider Foundation
The Surfrider Foundation is dedicated to the protection of our ocean!
They are all about:
- plastic reduction
- ocean protection
- beach access
- coast & climate
- clean water
And they do all of this by providing education and organizing community beach clean-ups to physically remove plastic from our beaches.
Our current goal for the end of this year is to fund the removal of 10,000 LBS OF PLASTIC from the ocean via The Surfrider Foundation.
Point of Pride
Point of Pride is all about increasing access to lifesaving gender affirming care.
From surgery funds, to HRT access, to education about transgender health, to free chest binders, and femme shapewear – Point of Pride is there for their community.
Our goal for the end of this year is to 6 MONTHS OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE to a trans person seeking gender-affirming, hormone therapy via Point of Pride.
GRID Alternatives
GRID Alternatives firmly believes that clean electricity should be available to everyone for FREE.
Before GRID Alternatives, there was GRID – founded during the 2001 California energy crisis by Erica Mackie and Tim Sears, two engineering professionals who were working in renewable energy and efficiency projects in the private sector.
Through GRID Alternatives, a model was developed to make solar PV technology practical and accessible for low-income communities, while providing pathways to clean energy jobs at the same time.
Our goal for the end of this year is to FUND 7 SOLAR PANELS for clean energy projects in environmental and economic justice communities via GRID Alternatives.
